Angel Food Cake Glaze. Place the cooled angel food cake onto a serving platter or cake stand. Once melted, add the sugar, orange juice, vanilla bean seeds (see note), and salt.
Add the vanilla and almond extracts and salt with the final bit of sugar. Prep the cake by brushing it with simple syrup. In a medium mixing bowl, add the powdered sugar, lime juice and tequila.
Place flour and salt in a sieve set over a bowl; sift into bowl, and set aside.
Stir orange juice into cornstarch in medium saucepan.
This homemade angel food cake is super moist, soft, and oh-so airy! Beat egg whites until frothy; add salt, cream of tartar and lemon oil and vanilla extract. I topped it with a shiny dark chocolate glaze, it was decadent.
